Musée du quai Branly ticket reviews

Reviews

Five GetYourGuide listings cover the quai Branly: the plain admission ticket, two combos (one with a Seine cruise, one with an app-guided walk), the Paris Museum Pass, and a Seine cruise that leaves five minutes from the museum door. I have written one review for each, using the museum’s own rules and what reviewers on GetYourGuide actually said. The short version: the admission ticket is the sensible default, and before you buy anything, check whether you get in free.

How I rate these

I do not give my own star scores. The rating on each card is GetYourGuide’s, from the people who booked, and the review count is theirs too. What I add is context: whether the ticket makes sense for you, what the listing leaves out, and what the reviewers were complaining about when they marked something down. For the cruise combo, for instance, the 4.1 is about the boat queue, not the museum.

A word on timing, because it affects every one of these. The museum is closed on Mondays and stays open until 22:00 on Thursdays, which is the quietest time to visit. Independent visitors need two to three hours on the plateau, more with an exhibition, whatever the 45-minute group-visit figure suggests. See opening hours and how long to allow before you pick a slot.

Not sure which listing you need? The which ticket do I need page walks through the decision, and all tickets and combos puts them side by side.

Frequently asked questions

Are these reviews independent?

Yes. I am not the museum and not a tour operator. Booking links go to GetYourGuide and I may earn a commission if you book through one, which does not change what I write. The full arrangement is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Which quai Branly ticket do most people need?

The plain admission ticket, if you are a non-EU adult who wants a timed slot and the shorter entrance. Under-18s and EU residents aged 18 to 25 get in free with ID, as does everyone on the first Sunday of the month, so read who gets in free before you buy.

Why is the cruise combo rated lower than the admission ticket?

Twelve reviews, and the ones that mark it down are about the boat: a long wait and a crowded deck. The same people describe the museum as amazing. My combo review goes into it.

Do the ratings here come from you or from GetYourGuide?

From GetYourGuide. I quote the score and the review count as they stood when I wrote each page, and I only quote reviewers by the first name GetYourGuide shows. Live scores are on the availability widget.
